Biography

Welcome to room 103! I am honored and privileged to be teaching fifth grade for the 2020-2021 school year. This will be my sixth year at Walnut Hill. I grew up in a small town in Nebraska and my dream was always to be a teacher. I had many teachers that inspired and instilled in me the love for learning.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in ESL from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and my Master's Degree in School Administration from Wayne State College. I am a life-long learner and will always strive to find the best ways to meet the needs of all of my students.

I am dedicated to cultivating a safe and inclusive learning environment. In my classroom, it is the expectation that each student work towards his or her fullest potential. We have a lot to learn in fifth grade and I am looking forward to a very productive school year. I encourage you to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Each classroom at Walnut Hill has adopted a college or university to encourage our students to be college and career bound. Our classroom is lucky enough to have Omaha's own Clarkson College as our adopted college. For more information about Clarkson College please visit the following link: Clarkson College
